Default Square Wheel Setup

3IS isn't a track performance car, but it's fun to take those corners, with skill and speed.

With that being said, anyone here running a square setup? List wheel/tire specs, and post pics if you can.

I'm planning to run 18x9.5f et30, 18x9.5r et38 on a 265 tire, although debating if 255 is too stretched, depends on the tire I guess... Any input?

Anyone know how anyone know if 18x10 will fit in the front?

I'm almost certain you would rub with 265's up front, the 18x10 is also a really wide wheel for the front.

9.5 +30 will rub up front, even with smaller tires I think!

I have seen 245/35/18 front and 275/30/18 rear on Is350.

Are you lowered? Looks like it.

Thanks

18x8.5 +38 square set up, stock tire specs (225/40 & 255/35). Dropped on coilovers. No rubbing. I went ultra conservative so I don't have to worry at all with rubbing.

Could've gone with 18x9.5 in the rear with no problems. The 255 tire would fit nicely on 9.5. Theres a bit of tire 255 on the 8.5.

18x9.5 in the front would be a moderate fit and might rub in the front. 18x10 would definitely be aggressive.

I'm not lowered. The offset mixed with fatter and slightly taller tires fills the gap much better.

I've heard of a few of our customers use 8.5 ET35 + 255 without any issue. A bit conservative, but does the job. Another option is 9.5 ET33 (our specs) + 255 (most likely require some modification). 255 on 9.5 is really not a stretch, though, this can vary depending on what tire brand/model you go with.

Oh and this one...a non-track car on a track...lol. If you track, you know track cars are made not bought. 😎

wow, how did I miss these updates haha.

Care to share what modifications you made to the front/rear to fit those along with specs? If there is a thread just point me to it

Anyone running 18x8.5 with 255-35-18 all around?

Noob question along with it, it won't drastically change the the car's behavior would it?

I'm close with 245/40/18 on 18x8.5's. Does cut a bit of understeer, but otherwise, just the better grip from sticky tires.
