Does anyone having an issue with BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring)?


It was working properly when I picked up the IS250. After approxi. 300km noticed that BSM switch light is not on.


I went to the dealership when 1600km first maintenance service due and told them about the BSM issue. They have checked and replaced the fuse and still having the issue and told me to come back few days later.


I left my IS for 2 days at the service and finally it's working now.
They have replaced the Master Blind Spot Monitor.


WTH!!!!

 

Lexus has had my LS for a day and a half and can not figure out why my BSM has failed, not good when you have a group of mechanics that can't fix your car.

 

I believe the BSM units are manufactured by BOSCH so there is that. And sometimes they do fail. System is usually fairly simple to diagnose however.

 

FYI, I believe you posted in the wrong forum, and also revived a nearly three-year-old thread.

However, a day and a half doesn't sound like all that long to be honest. Also "can't figure out" implies what? What kind of feedback did they give you, exactly?

 

so now t has been 48 hours "can't figure it out", means exactly what it says, the dealership said they "can't figure out why the BSM is not working, but it definitely isn't working" and that thread was the one that came up when I searched,

 

if only one thread came up when you searched and it was not the same model car then these are really isolated incidence

 

What dealer did you go to?

I think club lexus member pool is actually really good example of general issues of a vehicle model. More active members on here voicing issues.
For the 3rd gen IS all the major problems have very long threads on Club lexus about it long before a TSB was issue for them, (battery drain issues, Navigation display anti glare coating,slow navigation, etc.)

look you even signed up on the forums looking to see if there are others out there with same issues as you? can't deny that
