Bumping this thread.

I lowered my car 3 weeks ago, put maybe 200km on it, and started hearing a noise in the back. Just found out my rear left end link is done.

Anyone else have this issue? What did you replace the OEM one with? Looking for recommendations.

Since the lowering of the vehicle requires the disconnecting of at least one end of the link at all 4 corners of the vehicle, is there a possibility it got damaged when it was being disconnected?
I lowered my car after 3.5 years, of which I owned it the last year, and the slight bit of corrosion holding the link nuts onto the link ends made it different to remove them.
It took a little patience and working the nut back and forth before I could get them off without destroying the link. That's Canadian climate for ya.
Honestly, I would replace it with an OEM link...I really doubt the link failed on it's own.

It's very possible - I mean, lowered for 1inch + and driving it for less than 200km shouldn't have damaged it i don't think.. the 200km was extremely babied as well as i wanted to get used to the new height.

I do see that toyota rear end links are pretty crappy and will let others know whether i go oem or aftermarket. Thanks for your feedback Sasnuke!!
