Default High Gloss Wheel Guard!!

Living in Phoenix, Arizona does have it's perks outside of the scorching HOT summer heat. I was able to give my car a nice watch this morning and I thought I would share a few products I used on my wheels and tires.

Chemical Guys Wheel Guard

Chemical Guys Natural Shine

As common with most I350 owners you know what I mean when I say the brake dust is often times very annoying!!! However, I found this stuff from Chemical Guys that I apply after a nice wash and it in fact does repel quite a bit of break dusk and makes it much easier to remove when it's time for a wash. Chemical Guys states it repels up to 70% brake dust. I would go that high but I have seen some significant reduction. It also smells great!!!!I also really love the Chemical Guys Natural Shine. IMO I do not like the super glossy tire shine (if you like that you won't like this product). It gives your tires a nice natural shine that doesn't look over the top.

Just thought I would share this quick bit of info.

It looks clean, rgonza1 Where did you get the stuff for the wheels? Was it easy to apply/remove?

I bought it directly from chemicalguys.com. However, they also sell it on amazon as well.

The wheel guard goes on like a wax. I let it set it for about 10-15 minutes then I grab a microfiber cloth and wipe off. The stuff really does work and doesn't let the brake dusk cake on.

I used to have one of these wheel wax that repel brake dust but eventually you will start to see dust again. I recommend changing the pads to low dust, I got so tired of waxing the wheels wash after wash.

I personally have both and use both on my 3IS. The Wheel Guard really does do a great job, and from what I can tell so far, it makes cleaning the brake dust off a lot easier once applied. I am a big Chemical Guys fan, and would definitely recommend these products.

With AWD, heated seats and steering wheel, I'm pretty happy with the IS as a winter car. My S2000, however, is sitting in the garage collecting dust. I really need to move back to a warmer climate. I'm getting too old for this crap. haha

Agreed. I can now say (laughing) that the heated steering wheel is addictive I finally got to try the Snow button today!!! Turns the IS into a snow bear
