Question Brakes - Clicking Noise

I started noticing this clicking sound about a month ago and it appears to occur more frequently. Almost at 15k km.

It occurs fairly consistently and is reproducible at crawling speed or when stopped, and you press more firmly on the pedal. Sounds like the front brake pads clicking. Not sure.

To be clear, even when the car is fully stopped and you're already holding the brake with moderate pressure, if you press further down the brake, that's when the click is heard and slightly felt through the pedal.

I made an appointment to get it checked out. Anyone else with this noise?

I have not experienced that, but will see if I notice anything after work today.

I get a different noise. First thing in the morning, when I'm leaving for work, upon applying my brakes for the first time, I hear a bit of a "clunk" at the rear brakes, then it doesn't do it again for the rest of the day. Happens every morning, and has done it since brand new. I forgot to ask my service advisor about it the last time I was in.

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty close to this sound.

I actually just noticed a click first thing this morning when leaving the garage but then nothing for the rest of the day.
I will try and listen out more for the next few days

This is how it started for me about a few weeks ago (or at least when I started to notice) and is now occurring more frequently almost fully reproducible like in the video above.

Man I just noticed the morning click, had the windows down cuz finally the weather is lovely and I heard it after releasing the brakes after the front tyres crossed the parking speed bump...I'm pretty sure it's coming from front.

Isn't this because of the rust on the brake disks in the morning or after a long parking at outdoors? I have a heated garage and it never makes a noise the next day after a dry weather drive. However after a rainy drive, it makes noise the next day but only a one full rotation of braking.

Think about after washing and drying at a coin car wash, the first brake is very rough due to the rust on the disks. Just my little thoughts!

UPDATE

Got my car serviced. In short, like with the RX, there is normal play in the brake pads and the clicking noise is not a safety concern nor an "issue". They cleaned the calipers and pads as well as lubed it free of charge and the clicking although not eliminated, has been reduced.

Default Clicking noise

This clicking noise that makes your car sound like a busted Walmart shopping cart is due to the brake system itself. If you installed aftermarket brake pads instead of OEs then that's the reason. the aftermarkets do not fit as well as the oe and because of that they are loose and will cause these sounds. Sorry it's frustrating for me too
