Absolutely thats what i did the pic that i post up top was for my cx-5, i only install the ft7000s with drone and the artic remote for my IS.

Very cool. I would like a system like this, but I don't need to have it work a mile away. What's the cheaper option? And how far does it work via iPhone?

There is no range limit for the iPhone. If you have a cell signal you have the ability to start your car. So if you are in California and you want to start your car in Buffalo NY...you can.

IMO if you have the Drone there is no need to schlep around the Compustar remote.

I have had mine for just over a month and it has worked great. Started my car from Mexico and could track its location.
