Question- can I still add packages after off the lot?
Hey All,
I have a '15 is250 base-- is it possible to go back to the dealer to ADD in the nav package ? Or once the car is off the lot it is the way it is? Not sure how or what they do to add in the nav but I wouldn't want it screw anything up. I know they would have to replace thr current round clicker to the mouse control but what about the dash features?
Possible, but it won't be the same price as if you has originally bought one with the nav. It'll be way more expensive
Exactly! It will probaby be north of 5K if you find a dealer willing to do it at all. That's money you'll NEVER get back when you go to trade or sell the car. Wait until the end of this month and get yourself a Garmin on "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday". Some of these units even have Bluetooth hands free and even MP3 capabilities now.
I"m sure you can pay your dealer to do mostly anything for you, but yeah it's typically going to cost more than if it came that way from the factory. I had my dealer install the factory spoiler for me on my car before I took delivery of it and thankfully they did it for a great deal.
You can add pretty much anything you want, but it'll cost you a lot more than if done at the factory. I'd agree that you're looking north of 5k to add the factory Nav. If I were you, I'd just use my smart phone or one of Pioneer's In-Dash GPS Navigation units since it has Carplay
