Default Any Issues to be Concerned with?

For those who have had their IS for longer, have you encountered any mechanical, transmission, or other issues?

I don't expect to encounter any serious issues, with being a Lexus and all, but my mechanic did tell me he's had owners of the 2014+ IS have some issues.

13 months ownership on my '14 250.

No mechanical or serious issues at all. It's reliable.

Only one minor battery/power draw issue experienced also affecting some members.

Does the battery draining applies to 2015 IS models?

^^^ Hard to say since they're just recently out. You can check the drain thread for the latest.

The good news is Lexus is aware of it so only a matter of time for a fix.

My only issue is the occasional rock getting stuck between my heat shield and brakes. Makes the gut wrenching sound.

The only real issues I've encountered are the multitudes of women throwing themselves at me for a ride. These gas prices are killing me...

Other than the battery issue, I think the car should be solid for short-term items based on my research in the forums. The only issue I can think of is that the is250 is DI only, where-as the is350 is port & DI, so the is250 may have a higher probability of carbon build-up issues over time (beyond most lease terms, so if you are leasing, it shouldn't be a concern), however I'm not sure if Lexus made improvements for this model year.

I remember seeing some hippie movie when I was a kid. This guy driving a van (creeper) picks up some hippie chicks and says, "gas, grass, or ***. No one rides for free."

I'm at 26k miles with ownership since 7/17/13 and so far no issues at all, knock on wood, except for a battery drain within the first two months but that's about it.
