Wondering if anyone else has this issue intermittently? I am still running 7.1.2 and haven't upgraded to 8.0.x because work won't let me. Anyway, I get in my car several times throughout the day and randomly my Bluetooth won't connect to my car. I have to connect to the phone in Bluetooth setup. I'm not sure if it's a phone issue or a head unit issue. Any ideas?

 

I have a Samsung S4 and my Bluetooth disconnects and connects frequently. It seems to stop a little when nothing is connected into the usb port.

 

I don't know how it is on the iPhone with my samsung but if I turn off bluetooth, when I turn it back on, i have to pair it back with my car. My phone remembers it but so its an easy pair, not too much work

 

Thanks for the replies. I have a feeling this is going to be something the dealer won't be able to replicate and will just blame on the phone. It could be the phone, but if hardly anyone else is having an issue I doubt it. I may swing it by and have them look at it.

 

Do you charge it via USB? I've had the same issue when doing it that way. USB connection in general craps the bed for me, but when it work the sound is much better.

 

Agreed. My USB worked flawlessly for the first couple of weeks and now it just randomly throws the "iPod Error" at me. Some drives, I never get the error; others it can happen 3+ times. Super frustrating. Ive actually noticed that my USB connection craps out at specific points in my commute, which makes zero sense because it shouldnt be relying on any sort of cell signal, as far as I know. Anyone else notice any similar tendencies?

 

No I never charge it via the USB I use a charger. It only happens about 10-15 percent of the time. Mostly the phone connects without an issue.

 

Well it seems I now have an issue. I'm using my new iPhone 6 with iOS version 8.0.2 (just relased a few hours ago). My phone connects to the car and I can dial out but it randomly disconnects the call anywhere from 5 to about 15 seconds. My iPhone stays connected to the call but the IS won't stay connected to the phone via Bluetooth.

The same thing happened with iOS version 8.0.0. I upgraded to 8.0.2 in hopes the issue would be resolved but that didn't happen. Bluetooth audio seems to work but the phone is useless.

Everything worked fine with my iPhone 5 and iOS 7. I wonder how long this is going to take to resolve.
