Has anyone had a crack at opening a set of the HID headlights to mod the projector lens etc?

My main question is, is the housing permasealed or is it sealed with the butyl mastic type sealant?

I'm keen to install the TRS clear lens with bulb upgrade & maybe some custom paint inside the headlight.
