I know some of you outside the US have the Lexus enform remote on your cars, did you have any trouble getting it to work? I was given an authorization code by email and nobody at the dealer or at Lexus can tell me where it is supposed to be entered. When I open the app and put in my pin and try to select vehicle (or do anything for that matter) it tries to connect and gives me an "unable to process" error. I was told to wait 24 hours but it has been 24 hours and the code is only good for 48 hours. I called Lexus this morning and was told to wait another 12 hours......

 

Just out of interest, do you have the enform icon on your Nav display?

My 2015 doesn't have enform & apparently all 2015 models arriving in Australia don't have it. Japan are working on a fix I was told as it should be there.

Don't see anything for it there either, my guess is there is a problem.

 

The Enform Remote is only available on certain 2015's. I have a brand new 2014 and it isn't available :-( Extremely disappointed that Lexus hasn't made any kind of Remote Stater available for the 3rd gen IS. I don't quite understand it either.. Lesser vehicles come with this option stock. You'd think that Lexus would have made it at least an option on the 2014's.

 

Yeah it should be made retroactive to the '14's but Lexus makes some questionable decisions, only reason I can see for it not working in the 2014 is because according to the owner's manual "the Lexus Enform Remote is achieved by using an embedded cellular device in the vehicle (DCM: Data Communication Module)" but that is a "type C" function which is the same as the safety connect.

My owner's manual says I have Enform Remote, the dealer said I have it but the manual is vague in it's instructions and nobody else knows how to operate it.

 

Oops!! I didn't read carefully you were referring to remote which I don't have. I thought it was related to Enform apps.

One of the nicest things about it is that the interior trim pieces (not the f sport exclusive pieces) seem to almost match the paint. Love it but this enform app is killing me, went to Lexus FB was told to use the SOS button, talked to 2 people on that for 45 minutes and still no resolution other than the fact the dealer is about to get an a$$ chewing for letting me leave with it not working...

 

Is your dealer nearby? If so, I would just schedule an appointment with the technology specialist and take it there and let him/her figure it out. Since it's standard on the 2015s, they're really going to need to figure this out...

 

I thought enform was only available in the U.S but the original poster made a comment about people outside the U.S having it which has me thinking, is this yet available in Canada? My new 2015 IS 350 is scheduled to arrive at the end of September.

Looks like there might be a huge oversight in Japan.

Lexus Australia are onto it & it should be offered as an upgrade/fix when I take the car back in. Enform was in all the 2014 models here but had disappeared in the 2015. Might be worldwide??

I was thinking of the middle eastern market already had it.

You can just try calling a technology specialist, any dealership in the country will do.
