Default 2015 Lexus Interior Trim Panel, Sewell Lexus

Was browsing on Sewell and finally! The interior trim panel pieces finally came on sale!

5 Types to choose from:

1. Silver Performance $350
2. Linear Dark Brown Wood $2674.17
3. Bamboo Wood $3201.63
4. Linear Dark Gray Wood $2674.17
5. Illustrious Piano Black $425.01

My jaw drop when I saw the prices comparing the cheap silver performance trim on my IS350 F Sport to the wood trim and even expensive bamboo wood! When I have extra $$ I'm swapping out the silver trim with the dark gray wood or the bamboo trim. Lexus should really replace the standard silver trim on F sport models with Aluminum trim! Too cheap!

...are those prices for real?!?

How can they justify a few pieces of trim costing up to almost 9% the price of the WHOLE car (depending on which model)?!?

I would just wrap the interior trim pieces. They are smooth enough to wrap over. And plus if you get tired of it, you can change it out later on.

Here's a fellow member who did his interior with carbon fiber
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...or-trim-2.html

But here's what i was thinking about doing to my trim pieces.
This BMW guy wrapped his in the brushed black metallic material from 3M.

i have the dark brown wood trim and i would have preferred the bamboo option. i didn't even know it was available. i thought the only two wood options were dark grey and dark brown and i don't think bamboo was added for 2015.

Looks like the OP is correct - here is the product page with the 5 different interior panel trim options (click next to each one to see its price): http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/7005.html

...and looks like there are also separate pages for just the silver performance trim (http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/6376.html) as well as matte black (http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/6377.html).

These are the CL discount prices:

- Silver Performance: $350 (NO discount!)
- Linear Dark Brown Wood: $1852.69 (from $2674.17)
- Bamboo Wood: $2218.10 (from $3201.63)
- Linear Dark Gray Wood: $1852.69 (from $2674.17)
- Illustrious Piano Black: $294.44 (from $425.01)

- Matte Black: $294.44 (from $425.01)

Even WITH the discounts, I still can't believe the pricing for just 5 small pieces of trim - maybe they give our cars extra horsepower/torque somehow...!!

You are correct (at least for the U.S. market - dunno about other markets, though I wouldn't be surprised if more choices are available elsewhere since the U.S. seems to get shafted on all the other available options!) - I posted the color option (interior/exterior/trim) pages straight from the official 2015 & 2014 IS brochures in another post (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/8657233-post12.html), but here's the 2015 page again (below).

The only available trim options for 2015 are Illustrious Piano Black (which replaced Matte Black from 2014), Linear Dark Gray Wood, Linear Dark Brown Wood, and Silver Performance. No Bamboo Wood is listed in the brochure at all...

Bamboo comes as an option for hybrid models like the IS 300h which isn't in the US. I guess they're giving you an aftermarket option here.

Likewise for the GS 450h and LS 600hL (which are available here)

Yea that's what I was thinking, the bamboo trim only comes with the Hybrid model like the GS450H. The prices aren't worth it, but I really want to get rid of these silver trim pieces. The luxury car need some wood in it! I personally like the dark gray wood trim, but bamboo seems new and unique. I wonder if the dealer can get them for a cheaper price than the discounted sewell? I would probably get them if they were price around 1000-1500. I think sooner or later maybe 2016 or 2017 model would have more optional trims for the center console. If at that time there are wood trims, I might just replace the center console haha sounds crazy, but should be doable.

Trim pieces seem legit (OEM parts) but I dont think the factory option that is ordered with a car costs that much. It would be nice to have a bamboo trim.
