Default Need some rim advice.

Hi guys.

I'm thinking of getting these rims off a guy and not sure if they will fit properly on my 14' IS350..

Here are the specs of the rims. 18's on front 19's on back.

Front 18x8.5 et31 Medium Concave 215/35/ZR18

Rear 19x10.5 et25 Deep Concave 275/30ZR19

The front will be barely flush (can fix with a spacer later); the rear will stick out by about half an inch or more but that won't be an issue if you go 265 tires. With 275 you'll be rubbing non stop unless you run really stiff springs and do some light fender mods.

Nice wheels though, I'd grab them if the price is right. You can make it work. If you haven't done any suspension mods, grab some J5 coilovers with custom (stiff) springs.

Sweet wheels and NSX. Hope you can make it work. Post pics. I'm a stock guy. But I love what many of you do to your cars.

I had 265/30/19 tires on 9.5 et35 in rear, stock height it would work without rubbing. I put s-techs on and it was hell.

I haven't done any suspension mods yet. I really didn't want to until I was out of factory warranty. So if I just get 265 tires I should be good?

Good to know guys.. Awesome..

He is wanting $3900 for them with the tires says they are brand new. I priced out BC forged rims and this looks almost retail for the rims alone without tax. He claims that they are brand new condition which I believe just based off his NSX. He takes care of his stuff.

He says he only had them mounted for a photo shoot .

Here is a picture of one of the rear rims.

Nah, not worth it for that price at all. Contact Need for speed motorsports (here on the forum) and trust me you can find amazing wheels for much less than the ones you're trying to get. And you definitely want to avoid 18/19 setups on these cars as that will look weird on a 4 door luxury saloon. And 265 tires will still cause rubbing without stiffer springs and some fender mods. These cars really do suck at fitting aggressive wheels.

Not trying to say they're ugly and you shouldn't buy them, but I am not too fond of them. I find it weird to have 18" in the front and 19" in the rear. Obviously this isn't my car they're going on so you don't have to take what I am saying as an insult to the wheels or your taste in wheels, but for $3900 you can get some other wheels just as nice and put the difference to some springs or something. Just my opinion. Maybe I have to see them on the 3IS to find an interest in them.

For 3900 you can get J5 coilovers and some nice wheels with cheap tires. My wheels (with tires) were almost half the price of that.

I think what I'm going to do is jump on the Vossen bus. I've had my eye on a few different rim designs. I'm a big fan of the CVT and the CV5's

Really? I think it's one of the best for our cars along with CV4 and CV7. The other ones don't do it for me.
