Default Condensation in Headlight

Like the title says i have some pretty bad condensation in my passenger side headlight, i have the LED headlamps. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I'm bringing the car in for its 6 month service next week so the problem should be fixed then. I'm interested to see what happened, You'd expect headlights that cost over a thousand dollars a piece not to be having problems like this after only 6 months.

Sometimes these things just happen. I've had this before on a previous Toyota product. The headlight assembly was replaced under warranty without a fuss. Hopefully it will be smooth for you as well.

The amount of condensation has been pretty consistent, it was out in the rain last night but has been parked in my garage since. There are no noticeable cracks or chips in the headlight.

should get your dealer to refit the headlights and bring pictures as proof.

I have the same exact problem with my driver's side headlamp.

What did the dealer end up doing, Rsnic?

Anyone else ever deal with same?

This is not normal. The dealer should replace these under warranty at no charge. This happened to my last IS and they were replaced no questions asked.

This is covered under basic warranty 4yrs/50k miles. Take pictures and show them to the service advisor. I've seen a fair amount of these bad headlights and replaced several of them. It seems to me that Lexus parts are getting crappier as far as quality over the last couple of years. It's more about quantity and not quality nowadays. Sad but true.

Thanks, Gentlemen.

Going to bring it to my dealer to see what they say.

And I hear re. the sad but true comment; too bad!

Better quality = less warranty expenditure too.

headlight fluid is leaking. J/K.

Just take it in, dealer should replace under warranty.

Mine was replaced under warranty, the entire headlight assembly was replaced which would cost $1,200 out of warranty. Found a very little bit of condensation in the other headlight one day but that cleared itself up before i was able to make it to the dealership.

Since then i've sold the car though, so can't say if the condensation ever came back in the other headlight and needed to be replaced

Thanks!

I wonder if Lexus is reimbursed by their supplier for this, and how...
