Few guys at my work use the Blackvue DR500GW. They have been using it for a year now and no problems. I was very impressed by the video quality. I just ordered mine and should be arriving in a few days.
yeah I have a blackvue, older model (plasti dipped it black) had it for a few years now.
so far so good - managed to hide all the cables also stealth style.
I had the Blackvue on my G35 Coupe. However, the popularity of Blackvue has dropped since early 2014 due to tons of issues with firmware, overheating, and video quality. A lot of people have had issues with the GPS not updating the date. So the camera would record and the date on the video would be recorded as 2011....
My first cam had bad focusing issue. Making reading the license plate in front very hard to read.
I just connected it to the power in the middle console, hid the cable under all the plastics, under the foot well carpet and up the door pillar to the roof lining, then just used double sided velcro to attach the camera so I can remove it at anytime.
I have that dashcam and I have zero complaints. Camera can be configured through software and video quality is great. I purchased a larger sd card separately.
