Will do. I wonder if they would honour the warranty even though it's from Canada. I plan on going next year for a month+ long road trip. Once I get it done, I'll update you guys.

 

Anybody had any recent success with getting that weather map to operate continuously?

 

Mine is currently in the "downloading...please wait" phase. The only way I know to fix it is to delete personal data. I did that about a week ago and it fixed it, but it's back to "downloading" again. I rarely use the map, so I'm not going to delete my personal data for now. It's a PITA to reprogram everything afterward.

FWIW...During my last service visit I did ask the Tech guy about it. He didn't seem to have any more info than I did.

 

I remember bringing it to the dealer to look at it (tried deleting personal settings which didn't work). They said it just needed "recalibration" and I got it back working the next day. I've no idea how they did it exactly though.

However, now it has stopped working again, but I don't feel like trying to delete personal settings again as that's always a pain to reconfigure. I might bring it back to the dealer again, as they get it working with all my settings intact.

I'm thinking it has something to do with pairing a Bluetooth device, as it seems to stop working ever so randomly after pairing a device.

 

I previously could not get weather maps working until I had the dealership update my nav to the latest firmware it works now and system is not as laggy now.

 

Hmm. People are still having issues. Taking the ride in tomorrow for a quick look too see if they can pinpoint the issue. Not holding my breath. Have been down this road before. It'll work when I leave there. Next week it will be down again.

 

Did anyone find out? I'm willing to drive down south and get this fixed if possible....

 

Having same issue with my 3is. Works for about a day after a reset then just says downloading. Taking to the dealer tomorrow for another issue and will see if they say anything.

Strange thing is I purchased the car used and it was working off the lot and still had all the old persons data in there. It stopped working after I hooked up my phone. I wonder if it's something to do with Android since the prior owner had an iPhone.

 

So I took my car to the dealer and told them the issue. They put that they did a firmware update on the work receipt. Now the traffic and weather doesn't work at all even after deleting all personal data. Has anyone found a fix that I can tell them about? I would really like to have this feature.

 

My 2015 IS 250 has not had any issues, when I first get in the car after it sit's for a bit I get the please wait on the weather but then it's ok, sometimes the wrong location but then it checks again and it's ok.

 

I am also in MD, and I have been trying to resolve this problem for some time. Most of the time now, I just do not have traffic and weather. The "head tech engineer" is supposed to be at my dealership Monday to look at the problem. I will post any solution found.

 

I am getting my firmware updated today so I will let you know how it goes. Thanks
