Since yesterday I've noticed the weather screen on my car is stuck at "downloading please wait". So my weather and traffic isn't updating but my HDradio is. I know the weather and traffic and updated through the HD radio as well. Anyone else experiencing this? Any idea how to fix? Thanks!

 

I was just going to post about this as well. I've had the car just over 2 weeks and have only been able to get weather when my phone is connected thru Bluetooth otherwise I get the same downloading message. As for traffic I was only able to get that for a couple of hours 1 day, cant recall if the phone was connected or not.
I've changed the data settings back and forth from just HD to HD & Radio with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Same here. My wife told me that It started happening about a month ago and it progressively has gotten worse. It hasn't worked since Monday (1-27-14). All it says is "Weather downloading...please wait". Anyone with any ideas? Fixes?

I had same issue and took the car to tech center at dealer. Even they didn't know why or seen this before. After waiting 45min they figured it out. You have to have the Lexus Enform App running if you have an iPhone. This worked on mine. Not sure about Androids but worth a try....

 

I had same problem even with the ENFORM App running it would not update. Tech specialist tried everything, then contacted Lexus Tech in California. They planned to send a new signal to my vehicle using the Vin# but first directed service to unhook my battery for a minute or two. When they re-hooked the battery both weather and traffic updated within 5 minutes and has been working fine ever since. There was no beef to send the signal. Try unhooking the negative terminal only for 2 minutes and see what happens.

 

You should not need the app running on your phone, as traffic and weather are sent via HD radio.

 

Wife said it started working again today...but rest assured, it will happen again. Maybe I'll try the battery disconnect and see if that fixes it.

Thought I'd share an update, both traffic and weather started working on their own this past Saturday afternoon and as of this afternoon continue to work. Hopefully they continue to work.

 

For my information - is weather only available on US cars? I have a Canadian IS350 and can't even find where it would tell me weather informaton

 

Had the same problem. Service contact said there was an update to the nav system that would fix it. Performed last Friday and so far is working fine. Whole nav system seems quicker after the update.

 

It is not available on Canadian cars. I read on this forum that it is only firmware that is required, which pisses me off that they wouldnt just install it. I want traffic and weather on mine too!

 

There is a setting from the center console for Data Services and the two options are either HD & Mobile (meaning your phone/Enform) or HD Only.

I had mine set to the former since I got the car as I was running Enform. However, once I switched phones to a Windows device, Enform went away and just like that my traffic stopped displaying. I never check weather, so I don't know whether that updated or not.

I took it in for the 5,000 mile service and they had to update my Nav system anyway because of the general crappiness of it, and now all of a sudden traffic is working again. The Data services setting was still on HD & Mobile. I've changed it to HD Only and still works fine.

 

Looks like my wife's car is experiencing a similar issue. The weather forecast is working, but the actual radar/map keeps saying it is downloading and then reverts back to the menu. I checked the settings and they are on the HD mode. The car is going in this week for the 5K service. That is on the list of the few items we expect to have Lexus to address. I'll relay what if anything is done.
