Default Buy 2014 model or wait for 2015?

Hello, new to this forum, and right now I am interested in purchasing my first lexus, which is the is350 awd f sport, and I was wondering if I should buy the 2014 model which I can get it a bit cheaper or just flat out wait for the 2015 model?
The car needs to be purchased end of april and I was wondering if that is when the new model comes out since the 2014 is came out last year april?

thanks

at this point might as well wait unless you get a smoking deal. Best thing to do would wait until they announce 2015 changes a month or two before release and see if you want those. If not then you can look for a 2014

Do you happen to know when the 2015 will be available to purchase or arrive on showroom floors?
Or an estimate? thanks!

I'm in the exact same position as you. I'm waiting for the official 2015 announcements to see whether I go for 2014 or wait for the 2015 model...

Or even wait for the C-Class.

If you can, wait for the 2015's. First year cars are usually problematic, and the 3IS is no exception (seriously flawed nav/radio system, with no cure in sight).

For what it's worth, I doubt there will be a new Nav unit for 2015. A new firmware, yes. It will be part of a mid cycle update. A lot of testing will have to go into testing and changing up the assembly line. It's a logistic nightmare.

A better bet will be changes to the packaging and colors. Optional features will be added as standard equipments and prices will raise slightly.

if a nav update is all that's changing i'd take the savings on a 2014 that would be offered when they try to clear the lots for 2015 models. Or as Areomotive said wait for the C-class, was my 2nd choice

With today's official CarPlay announcement and Toyota on the second rollout it's very likely there will be a new nav and entertainment system across the board in the mid-life refresh.
