Right not the specs Vossen has available for the CVT the 19" would be the more ideal setup if you not looking to run a stretch tire.

I've had Vossen CV7 and CVT (20x9 & 20x10.5 w/ 225/30 & 255/30/20) lowered on RSR down springs, the car never rubbed and looked great.

I then upgraded to RSR Sport*I coilovers and went lower, that is when i had to roll/pull my fenders.

The 19" CVT is available in 19x8.5 ET32 & 19x10 ET42, the 19x10 with the high offset is perfect for the rear setup on the 3IS. The setup @Stitch626 is running looks amazing in person especially when paired with the RSR down springs.

if i were to go with 20" CVT's, Lowered on RSR Down Springs, with stretched rear tyres (i do not mind). will i encounter rubbing or do i need to still have my fenders rolled?
It depends on how low you go.

for the safest bet I would say you may need to roll it because the fender tapers in .

Since you would stretch your tire to a 255 for the rear you may not have to.

My main thing is I always say better to roll your fender for the safe side incase you ever hit a nice size bump so you don't rub regardless
