3IS - Where do you place your phone?

thanks for all the reply guys! i'm in the same boat as ultra, since i have the samsung note 3, my phone is too big for the cup holder the best place right now for me is in front of the nav as some of you have mentioned but i just miss being able to glance at the screen of my phone without having to handle it while driving too bad not all message notifications are brought to the screen, or else i wouldnt mind not being able to place my phone within my line of sight!
Speaking of message notifications, I also have a Canadian 3IS but I am currently using iPhone. Did you actually see the messages on your nav working? There is an error message "Messages cannot be loaded" or something like that.

i'm actually picking up my 3IS tomorrow! lol
so i'll have to play around with it before answering that
but when i had a 3IS as a loaner vehicle, i was able to sync my Note 3 to the car and i think i was able to get it to read a new email?
too bad there's no function to push whatsapp and other notifications up to the screen!

When I had an HTC One, it was the cupholder. Now I have the Nokia Lumia 1520 which is a little larger than the Note 3, so it's usually in the passenger seat. If someone's in the seat, I'll either leave it in my pocket or put it in the center console.
