Bought SD card from the dealer, P/N:PT219-GEN08-17. I followed the instructions provided by the service manager: With vehicle off, remove old SD card and insert new one. Then keep the vehicle ON and parked for an hour and not touch anything.
After 15 minutes no message appeared. Then I went into navigation options and selected update map. The following message appeared "Please change to the new map data SD card at any time". I do see 21-37-17 (2017-06-1) under map data, but no other message like "reading data" to verify the map actually worked.

I think you can't clone it to a normal card but you can unlock those ebay cards, there's a Russian guy who did it, but it needs special software and special hardware below is the video

I have 2 different kinds of cloning software I use daily for PCs. I may try it on my sd card just for poots and giggles...
I also found this a while back... https://www.backup-utility.com/clone...card-8523.html

Rather than trying to work with a new card, which is a $200 investment, what about trying to copy a card that's already in a vehicle. If the card can be successfully copied so that the vehicle recognizes the clone, that's hurdle number one crossed.
Next will be to tackle the 'marrying' conundrum. Any attempt to 'unmarry' the card will need a second vehicle to insert the clone to see if it's accepted.

I think a shoutout to all the eggheads on here that want to give it a try is needed.
Hello everyone, Very new to the lexus family & unfortunately I too was hustled into buying a used 2015 gs350 with no SD card. SO here I am happy to find the thread, and HOPING one of those "egg heads" can help me out! Lol
