Anyone else having a problem that the traffic (the green / yellow / red lines on the map) is not showing anymore? I've had the car for 3 months now and noticed about 3 weeks ago I no longer see traffic.

I DID confirm that I still have show traffic info turned on in Map Information.

Anyone know what is wrong?

Actually, I just noticed the same thing yesterday. I don't drive the car that often so I'm not sure when it started. Curious to know the reason as well.

 

I've seen it disappeared before but it came back on. Probably just an outage from HD radio.

 

I have the car just over 3 weeks and traffic never worked and weather only worked a few times. Both started to work this past Saturday afternoon and as of this afternoon continue to work.

 

Mine has been off for at least a month I'd say. It never comes on and off, just always off. Is this a Lexus problem or a regional HD radio problem?

 

That just happened with my car as well. I just had it in for the 5k mile service and mentioned it. The service guy thought it was due to Sat Radio expiring, but I told him that it's supposed to work off HD Radio, not Sat.

Anyway, with all the crappiness of my nav system, they updated it from v 8400 to v8500 and all of a sudden this morning, traffic was working again.

 

My traffic and weather have been working very consistently, with no real issues. Because HD Radio is not available at my house, I have to get a mile or so down the road before it comes in, but then it's okay from there on out.

I wonder if there's a way to look up HD Radio outages and coverage areas online. I haven't taken the time to search for that.

Damn, mine also turned off about a week ago and still not back on yet.

 

If mine stopped working I haven't noticed. I don't bother looking at traffic on my Nav unit as it's never right. Just last week I zoom out as I came up on I-95 to see what the traffic was, nav was showing green both ways. Get on I-95 south and spent the next 35 minutes crawling 3 miles to get by some construction. Also shows orange traffic quite often when there's barely ay cars traveling the direction marked.

 

Interesting... I'd just noticed the other day that mine was not showing traffic either. It's pretty much useless as noted above but strange that it would disappear since I don't think I've lost HD coverage in San Jose.

 

Possibly it's Bay Area outage? Mine disappeared for more than a week already, it had happened before. It would be great if other Bay Area owners can chime in whether traffic is working.

I don't find the free flow traffic on the map useful but Traffic incidents list is quite accurate.

 

Mine has stopped working for about a week as well. I'm in the south bay.

Mine came back on last week after about 2 months of being off. I noticed it came on right after a big storm. So I think it is all related to HD radio local to the city you're in.

Then again someone mentioned upgrading the software and that turned it back on.

Only thing we know for sure is the data is transmitted via HD radio so the app is only as good as the HD service and update coverage in the area.
