Push a stiff wire / coat hanger through this hole on the passenger side. It goes through to the driver side along the passenger/engine compartment wall. Then get under the driver side and you will see your wire sticking through above the gas pedal. I pulled 1 wire at a time so I wasnt trying to pull a bundle through at once.

Has anyone used Aux port to watch video? I'm reading the owner's manual and it doesn't say I need to have the parking brake on in order to show video, only DVD on ML system requires. Unfortunately, I don't have the 3-pin RCA cable to test it. I want to put the front camera video on the Nav screen using Aux.

I have no NAV (so no reverse camera).
It could be a great idea to use the A/V in for that video!
Today I'll check with my Sony camcoder and if it works without having parking brake on, in the next days I'll buy a reverse camera. I need only to know if it's possible (and how) to switch to A/V in when I use reverse gear...

Doesn't work...
I tried to connect a Panasonic camera. I get the A/V rca cable included and connected to the car with an rca to plug adapter cable. Nothing was displayed. And there was a strange noise (like a buzz) coming from the back of the connector in the armrest.
The camera connected to a Samsung lcd tv works good. Maybe the problem is in the plug. I don't know what type I have to use... 4 pin (video+stereo audio) or 3 pin (video + mono audio)...

It's 4-pin video + audio. Maybe yellow isn't video? Sometime red plug is used for video.
But you didn't have to press the parking brake?
No mod available to solve parking brake "issue" and always show video ?
Nav override device can bypass all the restrictions but center console must come out in order to hook it up. Not sure if any cable has to be splice, I wouldn't go this route just for the camera. For the backup camera eBay sells lots of wireless module with LCD screen. You may have to think about this since we can't use Lexus screen.
This company sells wireless cam and you can use wifi on iphone, ipad or ipod to show video from camera. It looks interesting.
