Has anyone tried bypassing the emergency brake yet so u can watch movies on the go ? Just want to know if any has used the beat sonic module yet ? Or any other device !
Just got off the phone with Prestigious Society and they will launch it tentatively next month for the nav and video. Video is currently available from them.
I used a thread on here with pictures for my second gen dvd to bypass the e brake and also allows you to dial phone numbers while driving, no nav control though while driving. im sure it voids dvd/nav warranty. cut and splice wires in the harness for nav/dvd system. works great.
I purchased the BeatSonic Navi controller like 2-3 months ago but haven't been able to install since Lexus has yet to resolve the issue with my oem navi/radio freezing up.
The last thing I want to do is install an aftermarket part into the radio and then have them tell me its my fault its not working properly.

Just to be clear, did you get this to work on the 3rd gen IS. I also had a second gen IS and managed to do the override via cut and splice etc.. but now i'm about to get a 3rd gen IS and cant seem to find a similar hack for this.

I can now confirm that the beatsonic NT6223 TV Navi controller works like a charm to enable DVD while in motion as well as opening up all the features that are normally blocked while driving. I just completed the install myself. It took me all of 45 minutes because I was very careful when removing and replacing panels.
