Default Discount IS 350f sport

My local dealer will not discount a car that has to be ordered. I see west coast buyers are offered discounts. Is there a dealer in the New York metropolitan area that discounts ordered 350"s ?

I would just order it from west coast and have it shipped. You still would save a lot than paying MSRP. Some people in CA have gotten $5k+ discounts. Shipping cost would be ~$1k. Also you may find that your local dealer are more willing to negotiate if you have this option in your hand.

You need to get on the web and bounce the offers off of the dealers. You being in NY should have tons of available dealers. And I imagine at least one of them will be more than willing to make a deal. Even on an ordered vehicle. And what is weird about your issue, is a large majority of us have ordered cars and have gotten discounts. Some are reporting very nice deals. Deals are out there to be had. Good luck.

So far two dealers I visited would only sell the car at full list price.
Any one in N.Y area know a more flexable dealer ?

My local Indiana dealer was going to charge me full msrp whether I bought a car on the lot or custom ordered one. They found a car in Nashville that matched my criteria but priced it at full msrp and low balled me on my trade in. I called the Nashville dealer and asked their bottom dollar which was $2200 off msrp, a $750 rebate if financed through Lexus, and they also offered $2000 more for my trade in. I was undecided if I wanted that car so I called every Indiana dealer and found one that would match the $2200 discount for a custom order. Long story short, you simply have to call around and find someone that will give you a discount, and then use that as leverage. I ended up getting the car in Nashville, a 5 hour drive away, but I saved $5000.

You're in a great position then, i live on Long Island myself and got my car ( IS250 AWD F Sport) from Lexus of Smithtown. But i originally was pricing out the 350 but decided against it because i used the extra money to buy a new motorcycle as a weekend toy and the car to commute with.

That being said i went to almost every dealer in the NY/NJ region pricing out both the 350 and 250. Rockville Center, Rallye, and Massapequa were barely willing to come off MSRP on the car. I used Truecar to get a price of 44,400 on a 350 F Sport AWD and 40,900 on a 250 F Sport AWD from Lexus of Engelwood in New Jersey. Lexus of Smithtown matched both of those prices and because their sales staff was excellent when i was there i ended up buying it there.

I agree. There should be plenty that will be willing to negotiate with you. They do not necessarily need to be "Build Your Own". They may be able to find one in transit or another dealer may have it whom they can get it from.
