Change Load Screen Navigation
I tried a search but could not isolate this particular feature. When I start my car it shows Lexus of Austin on the load screen... anyway to change that?

I got in the car yesterday, started it up and saw that my husband had loaded a picture of a red tail hawk for the start up screen. I'll have to find out how he did it. He's been messing with all of the electronic features, I just want to get in and drive.

To change the startup image, you need to have a USB drive that's formatted in FAT32 ready. Others have also stated that the USB drive name should not have underscores in it. Then:
1. Create a folder called 'Image' (case sensitive) in the root directory.
2. Copy the image(s) you'd like to use into the new folder. It must have a file extension of .JPG or .JPEG, and the file names should be kept under 5 characters.
3. Insert the USB drive into the USB port in the center console.
4. Using the remote touch controller, navigate to Menu > Settings > General Settings > Change Startup Image.
5. It will then read your drive for images and allow you to transfer the images you want to load. The original Lexus logo will never be removed, so don't worry about overwriting anything.
That should be it!

Two small questions:
1) Is there a file size limit (or recommendation) on the .JPG background that you use?
2) Is there a certain resolution (i.e. 800X600) that the image needs to be?
Thanks for all the help in advance,

No limitation or exact size needed.
The picture is adjusted so it keeps it's orginal shape, so if the pic is a square, you get black edges on the sides.
You best option is to try to make the picture the same size as the screen, so it is wider than it is tall.

These are excellent directions. Thank you abcsoup & magne. I'm going to bookmark/save this post so I can change the background image when I get my vehicle down the road.

Does anyone what the picture resolution should be? Looked in the manual but it only discusses file size. I want to crop a picture so it takes up the entire screen.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Try measuring the screen in the car with a ruler.
Then figure out how many percent of the width the height is.
After that you can alter a picture to be the same measurements in percent and it wil fit.
The closest thing I've used that almost matched the size was this picture:
