There's a button to the left of the steering wheel, under the HVAC vent...

Don't feel dumb. I remember back when my Dad got his 98 LS, the memory seats worked for him but not for me, meaning when I would sit down the buttons wouldn't work, then he would sit down and they would work. We were dumbfounded and played with it for 4-5 days until we took it in to the dealer to look at it. When I sit with a car idling I always keep my foot on the brake, he didn't...memory seats don't work with your foot on the brake LOL

I noticed I have the BSM BUTTON but I noticed that backing up with camera showing it doesn't give me no beeping when getting close to something :-(

Yeah, the BSM only beeps when there is cross traffic approaching from the left and right side, which is actually quite useful when backing out next to large cars/trucks.

The beeping for distance to objects is not a part of BSM but is Lexus's Intuitive Parking Assist, and is not available on F-Sport models. Joe-Z did say during the fog light installation that it appears the wiring is there for it on the F-Sport, so a retrofit could potentially be a future possibility.

my hyundai tucson also beeps when turn signal is on and there’s a car in blind spot. This is really helpful because in my experience, mostly i dont see enough the light nor it blinks. So i have to really turn my head and disregarding the bsm in my current nx car. I miss my tucson when these features are not on my nx. I guess im still not over it. Lol

I would HATE to have a beep every single time someone was in my blind spot. I really don’t mind just the light coming on because if you’re going to change lanes you should be looking that way and into your blind spot anyways. The BSM shouldn’t replace your habit of checking your blind spot yourself IMO. When someone is in your blind spot and you activate the turn signal it super blinks and that’s super noticeable.

Besides, you should be looking in the mirror anyway... which means you'll see the BSM light. Why beep, too? I feel like beeps and any unnecessary digital noise ruins the refinement of the driving experience for me.
