When back up slowly with the wheels fully turned, I notice a slight grinding feeling through the steering wheel. This condition appears to be the suspension set-up and tires gripping the road surface. My 335xi also did the same thing before the tires started to wear. Likely experiencing a combination of the sports tuned suspension and AWD system.
Can confirm that I hear a noise at full lock in reverse in my IS 350 AWD F-Sport. Haven't noticed it other than under those circumstances, so I hope it's nothing to worry about.
Glad you are getting good use out of that hump but AWD seems to be an after thought for Lexus. I would have liked F Sport AWD but it felt like I was getting less of a car for more money vs. F Sport RWD. Now it seems there are AWD specific issues with tire noise...
I'm also curious why F Sport AWD couldn't get power tilt and telescopic wheel....

Yeah, I miss power tilt/tele steering wheel and seat memory the most in my F-Sport AWD. My seating position is kind of low, so without the power wheel, entry/exit is a little harder than it needs to be. I'm pretty sure Lexus wanted to keep prices down this time around, with all MSRPs at or below $50k, but those options would've been really nice.
The "hump" is rather odd, but I've found that it only creates a problem on occasion when exiting the car with my size 12 shoes. Don't know if Lexus considered big feet when designing the interior.
Is the cause of this rubbing noise no big deal? I'm still hearing it at low speed/full lock and want to make sure it's nothing to worry about. I've been avoiding full lock whenever possible just in case...
