We stopped at a dealer in Louisiana on the way to Texas, and my wife was bugging me to get rid of my 2 door. She wanted a 4 door so life would be easier with a 3 year old. Picked up this black on black IS350 on kind of a whim. It’s not as fast as my G37s was, but it will do till I can go back to having 2 seats.

 

Congrats! I know the feeling of coming from a faster car, I went from the 2nd gen IS350 to the 3rd gen just now which was a bit faster but the 3IS is just an amazing experience and not too bad in the fast department anyway. I test drove one exactly like the one you got when I reserved my car.

I'm not sure I agree with you on 3is being slower. I went from g37s coupe to 2is to 3is. The 3is accelerates smoother and handles a hell of a lot better than they did. It may not put out the numbers but it feels a lot quicker than they did.

Thank you, so far I love the car. It's just not as punchy as as the g37 was. I guess thats they way to describe it. Not that either car is a speed demond.

 

Your car looks very nice. I like the obsidian exterior. Did you consider IS-F?

 

We did look at a 2010 IS-F the dated interior did not do anything for me, performance was nice, sounded great. And the wife spoke up about the back seat being smaller, and she didn't like the drive. But then she didn't like my corvette when we were dating, she thinks every thing should be like her Yukon. Some fights aren't worth fighting. I'll be very happy with this car, just takes some getting use to like the last 25 or so cars I've had.
