Default Cabin Noise?

Do you guys find that 3IS 350 has very low cabin noise? How does it compare to higher Lexus models and competition?

Against lexus. Better than CT. Much better

Against direct rivals (C, a4 & 3 series), no problem

Don't all 3IS 350 regardless of trim come with the intake sound generator?

Wind and road noise:
- better than the CT.
- about the same as the 2IS and current '13 RX.
- slightly louder than the '13 ES

Only F-Sport models (both 250 and 350)

Is there any site/info that show the cabin noise measure for all cars? From my test drive I was not able to really determine this. I didn't hear anything I felt negative about but I know that when the winds are blowing you can hear a lot more cabin noise.

I came from an Audi A5, and it's whisper quiet in comparison. For whatever that's worth

I test drove an A6 before getting the IS 350 and the A6 was much louder inside.

Actually, not quite. On the 250, the sound generator only comes on the F Sport, but it is on all 350s, regardless of whether they are an F Sport or not.

To answer the OP's question, under normal cruise, I find it pretty close to my '13 RX. It's definitely louder under hard acceleration (when the sound generator kicks in), though. I'm very impressed with it.
