Exclamation Heated Seat Discussion (merged threads)

I just noticed this today... Before driving I turned on the heated seat to two dots position (medium), but then after driving for about 20min the setting changed to one dot (low) by itself.
Is this a problem with the seat heater or not sure if it was normal?

That's normal. It works on a timer.

Anyway to keep it on without going to lower setting by itself?

With the car in accessory mode, hold down both heater switches (driver / pass) until you hear a beep. This disables the timer "feature"

I also noticed that the heated and cooled seat function remains on even if you stop and restart the car. On my BMW, the heated seats automatically cancelled after turning the car off.

Tried this and it wasn't working in Accessory Mode.

Opened the manual, which mentions same, but didn't state in what mode.

Started the engine and tried again, which worked!

Unfortunately, the heated seats are STILL very weak.

Any way to increase the temperature of same?

Thanks.

Heat seats work great, but I can see it being helpful if it stayed at 3 (if you will) for the colder states. In California, you can get away with keeping the heated seat at one without turning on the heater in the coldest day, suckas!

Since were on the topic of seat heaters,

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the seat heater to a seat cooler/chiller instead?

I turned my heated seats on for the first time (level 3) for a 15 minute drive and was warm at best.

Anyone else find the heat lacking?

Not me. Mine cook. I can only use the lowest setting or I am way too warm.
