Default Radiator Reserve Pressure Release Hose?

I was examining my components the other day and this had me confused. If you look at the radiator reserve, there's tubing going into and out the reserve cap. I don't know if I had too much fluid my dealership and/or pressure from the AZ heat, but I now have dried up pink antifreeze that looks like pesto-dismal under my hood.

Anyone else have this under their car. I'm driving the 350 Fsport for reference.

it happens, I had a little bit of pink crust on my 2IS. There has to be a way for the coolant to vent since the reservoir is sealed normally. If there happened to be excess pressure and/or liquid the reservoir would probably rupture without the overflow line

Yes Welcome to 2006....!!!

The engineers missed this one BIG TIME...

I "FIXED" my 2008 IS350, by routing a longer hose line to the oil filter door/cover...

Best $5 modification I ever made on my Lexus

It only gets worse over time..!! I've also seen Brand New GS's with the same mess.
