Default Cooled Seats Strength...

How well do the cooled seats work?

I have a 2011 BMW 750Li with same and they barely do anything.

Wonder if the IS is any different...

its really good. especially on a hot hot day. once you use it, you will feel that you cannot live without it anymore.

i usually only put it on low (there are 3 settings). unless it gets really hot outside.

otherwise, keeps me from sweating onto the leather.

We were impressed that the cooled seats blow air all the way up your back. When I go back to our other car, it feels like the seat warmers are on!

They are not actually "cooled" seats, they're "ventilated". Turning the AC on, especially towards the floor works really well. I love them.

I had a 2013 ES350 loaner and was not impressed, it was a 'barely there' sort of sensation. Might be more pronounced in the heat of summer, though.

Interesting, yes, the BMW's are "ventilated" as well, my mistake, but based on this feedback it seems the Lexus' work pretty well, except for the one experience with the ES. Just another cog in making a decision between the F-Sport and Luxury Packs... :|

I had them in a 2009 IS and wasn't impressed. I'd turn them on on a hot day, and really didn't notice. I don't have them now, and it's not a big loss.

One thing I forgot to add. When I picked up my car from the dealer, both vents were turned on high. I drove with the radio off and noticed how loud the fans are. You can hear a faint "static" sound from the back seat area. Once you turn some music or the AC fan on, you can't hear them at all.

They work really good in the IS. 30 deg. C is not a problem.

My coworker has the non F Luxery Package and it is very nice to have.
But the problem I have with it is the vibration and loud rumbling noise it makes.
I do admire it very much but can definitely live without it.

To those trying to decide over it, you'll live without it.

On the Genesis the ventilation tubing in the seat collapsed after about a year or two on numerous cars according the forum.

Depends on what you're wearing. If you're wearing jeans, you won't really feel much. If you're wearing shorts or something that breaths better, you'll notice it a lot more.

it seems 3IS has nicer one (4GS does supposedly too)... 2IS were pretty weak and when really hot you wouldnt feel them much if at all... but so far, people say 3IS is much stronger so lets not confuse the reports here.

You might not feel it but after driving for several hours with ventilated seats, you will not feel "hot and moist" between you and seat (like your clothing) like you do in cars without.
