One of my wife's 'have to have' options of the car was the heated seats. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not but the seats don't heat up much. I couldn't handle our previous car's heated seats because how hot they got but these can go un-noticed. I removed the default timer on them but it didn't help. I'm thinking about taking it in.

 

Mine seems to be the same way. Waiting to see what others have to say!

 

Suck to hear, as I have an IS350 incoming that's replacing a 2000 Range Rover in which the heated seats NEVER worked and the dealer NEVER fixed, no matter how many times I tried (had the vehicle since new). I plan to stay tunned to this thread!

Otherwise, I have ventilated seats in a 2011 BMW 750Li, which have also NEVER worked, but they don't in ANY BMW, I've since test many since... :|

 

I haven't tested my heated seats that much yet, but they definitely work.
The ventilation works great. No problem to cool through jeans.

 

Same here, worse than the 2IS - which weren't exactly great.

 

i havent got my car yet, but my 2013 GS350 F sport has heated and cooled. on the heat side, they heat up fast and get hot. but the system automatically lowers them to medium and then to low after a few minutes which i find annoying. i think the idea is that there are just to heat the seat in case it's cold. once warmed up they stay warm. sometimes i like it hot, it feels good on a tired back and i think thats what a lot of people want heated seats for. not just to make them warm but because they like a heating pad built in.

 

If you don't like them doing that, turning that option off is easy (in the IS) and I would suspect it's the same for the GS.

Just hold down both seat heater buttons until they flash, or turn on, or do something.

That will disable the "auto ramp down" option and they should remain on all the time if you turn them on!
