I damaged the right floor panel, went over a curb so I need to jack the car to inspect and possibly replace the panel. I'm not really sure where to place the jack stand without damaging the car, any suggestions?

roughly 4inches inward from the side rocker panels is a skinny black metal rail. Iirc there's even tiny grooves. Anyway that's where you can jack the car from

Page 400 of the manual shows the jack points.

Page 480 shows those notched rails.

That's actually where I jack the car (see pic

) but then I don't know where to put the stand. My jack doesn't quite reach the jack point on page 400.

Usually I just put the stand right next to the jack on the same rail. Never had any issues

Of course I invested in a low profile jack which makes it a breeze

There are actually arrows pointing inwards at the center of the jack point. All Lexus's cars should have them under there. See the above picture already posted and you'll see what I'm referencing.

There's not enough room on the same rail, if I jack the rear side, then I can only put the stand on the front side. Since I already have a jack, I'm thinking maybe I should invest in wheel ramps?

Yea that's where I'm jacking the car. Another general challenge is that I noticed that the rail won't touch the arm's bottom part of the 'V'. The top of the 'V' will be holding up the car instead, but if you see in this picture, it is touching plastic! I know as soon as the car sits on the stand, the plastic will crack. I've never had these issues with Toyota or Honda before.

Were you able to figure this out? Do we need to buy special adapter for jack and stands to make this work?

In the manual it states to put the floor jacks either on the front or rear but I just want to be able to swap my wheels lifting little from each corner.

you SHOULD buy an adapter for the jackstands (if you already have jackstands) OR find the jackstands with the notches already in them to keep from damaging/folding over that pinch/seam.

that pinch/seam is used for the scissor jack when youre on the side of the road with a flat/similar so if you damage it you wont be able to use the scissor jack safely

i dont have the photo for your car, but this illustration hepls

should get a set of rhino ramps. I try to use ramps wherever I can, just a lot easier and safer than jacks.

How does this protect/used with the pinch weld?
