How do you then use the floor jack to lift each corner of the car to change the wheels? Is there another location without using the pinch welds?

Do you have picture to show exactly where? So on this spot you can just use normal floor jack to jack the car from each corner?

if you have a floor jack, its faster if you can lift the car by the rear differential or the brace under the engine for the front. To place the jack stands I use the metal framing thats on the inside of the pinch weld. I bent my pinch weld on my 2IS putting the jack stand on it. I dont use the pinch welds anymore for jack stand support

not an IS but same idea, and you get to do two wheels at the same lift

Thanks.

Could 1.5 ton floor jack lift whole front or rear end of 3IS? I had 2 ton jack but returned that and got one from harbor freight 1.5 ton jack for $59. Also since front of the 3IS is low so how do you get even the low profile jack all the way to the front brace? I think rear may be easier to get to. Could you get to that spot from side of the car also? Lastly could you show me the exact spots where you could put the stands on the 3IS both fronts and rears?

Thank you in advance.

1.5T should be able to lift one side of the car, some of the weight is supported by wheels not being lifted.

I use the 2 ton harbor freight low profile jack, it even goes down deep enough for my friends 370Z.

Front jack point is between the two front wheels. Just be careful not to confuse the oil pan as the jack point! The front center brace should look similar, I think these are 2IS pics

I'm still not totally clear on this. I think I know where to try to jack the car up from now (even though I wish I could do it from each corner) but where do you put the jack stand and which way? Can anyone mark the spot for fronts and rears like above? Also if I'm using below jack stand what orientation should the claw part go on the car and what pads if any do I need as to not damage the car? Let me know if this isn't the right stand for our car and I'll go exchange it.

I got this jack too.

But now with where I need to jack the car I'm thinking I should get this to give me extra reach.

Thank you this helps. Is there picture that shows where/how to put the jack stands on 3IS? Also is there certain stands that work best with 3IS?
