Default DIY - LED Puddle Lights? Anyone Done This?

Just picked up the car today and started changing out all the interior bulbs to the LED's, all went smoothly except for the puddle lights on the sideview mirrors. Has anyone done this yet and documented it with a few pics?

The only DIY's I can find are for older IS's which suggest pushing the mirror glass itself out and unscrewing 4 screws behind it.

That is described in my owners manual. Not in yours?
You have to disassemble the entire mirror housing to get to the bulb.

No it is not. It says to take it to the dealer to have the lights changed.

I had the same question so I sent a PM to HIDPOWERHOUSE...they responded back saying the process is the same as the 4th gen GS and pointed me to this guide...I have not tried it myself but will this weekend:

I did mine when I first got the car. You have to remove the mirror.

Did it this morning. Pain in the butt but it was easy enough.

I followed the GS DYI and found it fairly easy. It was VERY VERY helpful having an extra hand though. It helps getting the housing back together.

How big bulb can be fitted? I'm looking at a high power T10, but it's 38mm / 1.5in long total. Will it fit?

Default LED Puddle Lights

Does anyone have a source for LEDs for the 2014 IS350 puddle lights?

Stay tuned!
