if your car is worth > buyout, the dealership will write you a check for the difference. just need to have dealers compete to get you over the hump.

i talked a dealer up 24k to 27k, which was a grand over my buyout (three months worth of lease payments in cash). it took me four visits to the dealership, and a call to the police until they cut me the check + reimb. for the four cab rides, but i got it.

If you're not keeping the cars thats another story. My issue is with leasing when you know you're going to buy it at the end.

Correct, but this is not a lease turn in this is a trade in.
