Lease Question
I really would like to lower my car, and get some new rims, but I am unsure as to what problems I may run into with my dealer because the car is leased. I was wondering if any of you have ran into such problems or know a little bit about this topic. Also, I was told by my dealer that installing a new intake would completely void my entire engine warranty
... But if I remove it before getting my car serviced would they be able to tell that I had had it installed(possilby through the onboard computer or what not).
Thanks

You really should not try any performance mods on a leased car.
If you have the money you should break the lease early enough and buy the car.
I would not be surprised if you were forced to buy the car under ugly lease terms if you modify it in a way then deem a breach of contract.
But like you said, if you can remove when you have to then go for it.

I would avoid any mods on a leased car that you can't reverse easily when you go to turn it in. Even so, if you take it to the dealer for service and anything goes wrong out of the ordinary, you run the risk that they blame it on your mods...
PS- Which IS do you have and what are the terms of your lease, if I may ask...? I am in the market for a lease and want to know what to xpect...THX in advance!

If you have the electric problem in your car, I would say the dealer most likely will blame on your aftermarket hid. If you have a suspension problem, I don't see any point the aftermarket hid will ever do a thing with that. From what I heard is that the dealership is not going to cover the aftermarket part that you put in your car (of course) and also the related parts.
Someone just told me that wheels and tires don't have to be stock providing they are of the same quality/value as the stock ones when the car is returned at end of lease, or u could always just turn in the stock rims with the car. Anyone know if this is true?
