Thanks for the link. Lots of good information. I most appreciate the nice pictures with good illustration.


However, there is some inaccurate or outdated info.

In particular, page 8 of the "2014 IS Model Year Perspective" document, it says Silver Lining Metallic is a color exclusive to IS but from the description, it actually refers to Atomic Silver/Sonic Titanium.

Silver Lining Metallic was first introduced to Lexus in ES. As some of us know, Lexus introduces new colors to a new model. In GS, Liquid Platinum (1J2) was introduced. The atomic silver/sonic Titanium uses a similar paint process (mixing aluminum flakes in the paint) as in Liquid Platinum of GS to bring out the contrast of the curves and lines of the new IS.

Obviously the info on the link is for the US market.
