Default Pulled the trigger today! New IS350 AWD F-SPORT!!!

I just pulled the trigger today on a white IS350 AWD F-SPORT today! I traded in my 2008 RWD IS350. I have not even test drove the car yet. I paid exactly MSRP which was $48,460.00 This is the only one Mcgrath lexus of Chicago got in and it was exactly what I wanted. After signing all the paperwork the Sales Manager comes in and tells me that I cant take it home until July 1st per Lexus Corporate.
They said they cannot sell the vehicle before then. Im not sure if they were just trying to keep a floor model there or if this is true or not.. So I have to wait two weeks for the car thats just sitting on the showroom floor.. so all I can do is sit on these forums again and watch youtube videos! lol

I would be super paranoid about people sitting and touching my car. Hope they lock it

Well there is a bit of a loop hole. As that is they can sell the unit before July 1st provided they have another 3IS to show. That's what our dealer is burdened with. We have two, one is sold (exact one in the picture) and a luxury pkg 250 as a demo test drive. Until we get more in we can't deliver them

Yeah they can't deliver them until July, are they going to rope it off and lock it up? Or leave it open?

Congrats on such a nice ride. You are very lucky they had the exact car you wanted. I assume you have visitation rights???

My dealer said the same. They can sell the only one Fsport model on the floor but can't deliver the car until another one shows up. They will even let the other customer test drive it since its the only one available.

Well now I feel better knowing thats the reason. Thanks guys!

I had 3-4 cars on my list to drive and look at before I even stepped into Lexus. I spent some time driving a Jaguar XF AWD, a Audi S4 and BMW 335i.. as well as a Tesla Model S. After my GF and I got to Lexus we both were sold the moment we saw this car. Nothing compared (except the Tesla, but thats a whole different animal)

As for the car, I will say the first thing that stood out to me was the seats. Wow! I was extremely impressed by how they almost felt like a glove when you sit down. The head-rest also feels great, you can rest your head and still be looking straight forward. The rear seats are much better also, there is room for a full-sized adult now in the back seats which was another reason we loved the car.

The Navigation and Gauges were amazing. Loved the shifting tach and all the options you have to shuffle through. Im really excited about having Bluetooth audio and the Lexus Enform app suite! The Nav screen was so colorful and bright it really stood out from my current 08', The 3-D maps and traffic was very cool!

I wish i could tell you how it drove but that will have to wait until Monday the 1st!

I wonder if they would let me take it home Saturday the 29th, as they are closed Sundays (Illinois Law)

But yea Im really excited!!! Its not even close the the same car when you sit in it

My dealer is Locking it up, and there is a "Sold" sign in the window. I have full visitation rights and I could test drive it if I wanted, but thats just going to tease me, lol ..

It has 8 miles on it and they promised me they will not let anyone drive it or sit in it. They will deliver it to me with 8 miles like my paperwork says... I hope at least!

Was it stupid to buy this early and pay MSRP? Ive never done that! I hope I dont regret it later... oh well

Awesome, congrats on the purchase. Hope they don't allow anyone to sit in your ride while it sits on the showroom floor.

I wouldn't worry about paying MSRP for the car, especially since you will be one of the first ones (if not THE first one) to take delivery of the new IS AND it is optioned just the way you want it. To me that would be worth a lot more than the money you would save if you waited a year or more to get the car.
