I agree 100%, I prefer covers over the cupholders. I too hate having the cupholders open.Originally Posted by Blueprint

Look at these photos from Motor Trend. It looks like a 2 piece grill on the cars they tested.

As I stated in earlier posts, the center of the F-Sport grill and/or bumper is SOLID!!!Originally Posted by cb804
So where does the front license plate get mounted? Is that really the official grille? Look at these photos from Motor Trend. It looks like a 2 piece grill on the cars they tested.

The same applies to the non F-Sport bumper....
Which means a plate bracket will mount in the center of the bumper under the "L"..
Below are samples showing where the plate bracket will go..

so that means license plates still get drilled into the bumper behind the mesh so it will just be a floating plate...Im going to jump out on a limb and say most people will rather get the fix it ticket

I'd actually say most people don't even give the front plate a second thought...Originally Posted by RXSF

sure... depends on what car it is and how it is designed... these cup holders are nicely integrated into the armrest though, they are not exposed and looking like sore thumb... there is nice metal ring around them and soft plastics.Originally Posted by Blueprint

otherwise it is just another thing to do to open cup holder to put your stuff in there, which is annoying. i like to simply jump into my car and start driving, less work, the better.
important part to note is that 2IS's 2nd cup holder was completely useless under the armrest... so if you wanted to use two, you had to pull armrest back and so you couldnt put your arm there at all, plus it stabs back passangers into knees... with new design you get extra cupholder that is usable.
it looks good when the spindle grille is split in half like in the camo pics

this is a matter of personal preference, not one of car design nor what materials were used as there are certainly luxury cars that make use of covered cup holders. i prefer hidden cup holders - ringing exposed cup holders in platinum and surrounding them with calfskin, hand-stitched leather doesn't make much of a difference as i still don't like exposed cup holders from an aesthetic perspective.Originally Posted by spwolf

So how do you guys think this car compares to the 2014 Infiniti Q50?

I like the interior of the Q50 better but I would get the new IS just for LFA style dash and real manual paddle shifter.Originally Posted by kesando

^^^I beg to differ the new IS exterior is not for me but love the interior. I like the Infinit's exterior better.
