Punctured ventilation hose?

Hi all, I punctured this hose on the driver's side while changing the spark plugs and I have no clue what it's used for and what's the impact. My research suggests it's the ventilation hose but I'm not confident.

Can I still drive the car around?

Turns out dealer said it was a hose encapsulating wires, so just use electrical tape to cover it

That looks like a wiring harness not a ventilation hose. Should be okay if no wires got damaged.
