Default Power steering 2017 is200t

I bought the car last year in may and I noticed the steering wheel would get stiff when i would go 65mph after driving for 30mins. As I drive it’s lock a little bit and when I move it, it makes me swerve, it drive fine in the streets but in the freeway I have difficulty keeping it straight and it’s not the alignment, any suggestions guy online told me it might be the module ecu or steering.

Normal. I actually believe the speed is 70 but the car tightens up and gets notchy. Tons of threads on it. I know exactly what you mean on this.

Yep, been dealing with that notchiness for a long time, although I’m usually in the 80-85 range when it occurs, so useful to know it also happens at lower speeds.
I recall there was a thread where the owner got rid of the problem by replacing the steering rack.

You could try complaining to a dealership about this. Not sure if an ECU reset (via disconnecting the battery) would do anything since it seems to be related to the steering rack hardware, but maybe worth a shot.

This isn't a fault. It is a design in the system. I am trying to find the threads on this but I went through searching after trying to figure out what was wrong with with mine.

Notchiness cannot be intentional by design. Frankly, I find it dangerous. Having to jerk the wheel at 85mph to do a minor course correction, could result in disaster.
