1st time Lexus owner, bought a brand new 24 IS300 on the lot. Love the fit and finish of the car , very classy.
Does it have a break in period?
Went through owners manual and could not find anything related to break in period
Secondly the owners manual doesn't have information for car maintenance items like oil types , qty etc for engine oil, transmission fluid etc , where can I see such information?

Congrats on the new car! Looks fantastic in that Caviar.
And yes, all that info IS, in fact, in the owner's manual. Please take a look at the owner's manual on lexus.com or the printed manual the dealership should have provided you. There is also a separate "Warranty and Services Manual" (naming is fuzzy off the top of my head... but I think you'll know it if you see it) which contains a maintenance schedule.
The break-in period is 621 miles (1000 km). During this time, you should drive casually and don't sit on the highway at one speed for too long. Varying engine RPM will help wear in components evenly. No flooring it, and no stomping the brake pedal to the floor. Otherwise, drive as normal.

I believe you will want 0W-20 oil.
Thanks for your response
I am looking for technical details like how much quartz of oil car uses , all other oils details like transmission fluid , coolant etc, i don't see that in owners manual . All information one needs to DIY themselves
Where is the break in period details too ?
I also checked the warranty and maintenance guide and it talks about warranty information and servicing schedule intervals, nothing related to technical data as mentioned above

All of this info is in the owner's manual.
Here's a couple photos of the manual for my 2023:
Here is what the front of the manual you want looks like. Here is the oil capacity.
Thanks will check get hard copy , I checked from the downloaded owners manual
The downloaded owner's manual also has it. Sometimes the info is scattered. For example, the instructions on how to do an oil change are separate from the specs on how much and what kind of oil to use. But you should not need a hard copy. Even then... if you got this car brand-new, the owner's manual should be somewhere in the vehicle. If not, maybe ask the dealer about it?

Yes I have owners manual in the car , I prefer to use soft copy and never really open the fat owners manual in the car . Do that for all my cars 😀
Can you please answer my other question, does the black grille of 350 Sport fit my 300 base car, if so I want to swap it
