Model: 2022 IS 350 AWD
issue: I’ll shut the car off, AC/Heat (whichever) turned on, blowing, and working properly. Later I’ll get back in the car and after startup the climate control system is somehow turned off. This doesn’t happen all the time but occasionally. In short it’s almost as if it doesn’t activate when the car is started up, again only on occasion.

Is this a sensor issue? Some sort of setting accidentally changed?

Any insight appreciated.

 

I have not heard of that particular issue. In my 2021 IS 350, sometimes the car would magically reset itself to 73 degrees. It happened about 3 or 4 times throughout the time I had it. No ideas on what caused that, but it could be a similar story with your car unless there's something wrong with the actual "Off" button where it is being activated unwittingly.

 

My Lexus IS ( 2018) used to do similar. I’m having a hard time remembering what I did to correct the issue.

It had something to do with the settings. If I recall correctly, I activate dual and leave it there.
