Default Dash Cam memory card

I am trying to find the largest memory card I can use. Lexus says 128GB, but the one I tried didn't work It was a cheap one, though. The 32 GB card I am using is the SanDisk Max Endurance card and made for dash cams. Has anyone used a larger one, and does it need to be high speed? Thanks for the help

Maybe the card need to be formatted to a specific file system? I used a 128GB with my Garmin dashcam hardwired in my IS. Fake SD cards are also a thing to watch out for.

It's not about size / capacity of the SD card.
it's all about the heat tolerance of the NAND memory cell after repeated read & write.
Go for Samsung High Endurance.
Will last a lifetime (at least >3yrs if you're in AZ).
Rest may last 1-2 years if you park under the sun everyday for >85F / 25C outdoor temp (indoor car cabin will be 1.5 to 2.25x hotter).
Be sure to get dashcam with Cloud auto upload if there's collision or motion detection, cos car burglars will ****** the dashcam to prevent detection.

Best dashcam are 3-channel if you want to record ppl breaking inside your car.
Rear (2-Channel) is perfect for roadrage overtaking, & other vehicles speed estimation based on road sign/landmarks they passed-by, in a certain amount of timestamp.

Yeah I would use the Lexus dashcam app to initiate a format. That should fix the issue. If not, not sure what restrictions there are on which SD cards you can use off-hand, but I believe it is in the user manual for the dashcam.
