Hi - tried searching for an answer and didn't have much luck. I noticed some pulling to the right while driving and had some additional vibrations specifically at highway speeds. I took my car to a Firestone to have my alignment looked at, hoping to capitalize on the lifetime alignment offer. I briefly talked to the tech and dropped my car off. I was called back quicker than expected and told that I was generally within spec, but some toe adjustments were made. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't pay close enough attention to the print out before leaving. When I took a closer look, I noticed that my camber was OOS based on their specs when I came in and seems to still be out of spec when I left.
First question - does anyone have an alignment spec list or can confirm that the ranges provided are accurate?
Second question - If I ask the tech for specific values in the alignment, is that something they will be able to accommodate? Newer to this kind of car maintenance and want to make sure i'm not getting taken advantage of, but also don't want to make unreasonable requests.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to being in the community!
It is odd that they did not attempt to adjust the front camber. It is my understanding that AWD IS models have adjustable camber in the front only. (RWD models do not have adjustable front camber.)
In my experience, if you ask for a specific thing to be accomplished with the alignment, they should be able to help you as long as it is in spec. I wanted a little toe-in on my 2016 IS 300 AWD to fight the notorious inner tire wear at the front of the car, and my dealership service department was happy to do that for me. I went from having basically 0 toe up front to about 0.10 toe on both sides.
edit: Here's an alignment sheet for my old 2016 IS 300 AWD.
