2022 IS350 AWD fuel range accurate??
New to me '22 IS350 with 11,000 miles. My first fill up today from half tank shows a 282 miles fuel range on a full tank. That can't be accurate, right? I mean a 17 gal tank with even 20 mpg( I'm avg 23-24) would be 340 miles to empty. Yet it shows 282. Am I the only one this happens to?
The fuel range shown is based on your most recent driving patterns. If you've been in Sport S+ and hammering on it for the last few dozen miles, the computer will predict that the car will continue to be driven that way.
When you say you got 23-24 on average, is that number based on your own calculations or based on the number shown in the gauge display?

If, conversely, all you do is go Eco and drive gently, you would see higher numbers on the range. It's simply based on the recent MPG trends.
In my IS 500, over the lifetime of the vehicle, I've only averaged about 19.1 MPG. However, if I have been driving efficiently, sometimes I'll see 300 or more miles on the fuel range when I fill up.
Right, it was just an example.

Cheers and enjoy the vehicle!
