Need some help please. Have tire that has approximately 10k and has damage all around the tire. Usual drive is local city streets and rare highway. Not a racer and never launched. This is only one tire. What might be causing this tire shredding? TIA
Tire shred around the edge. Tire shred around the edge. Tire shred around the edge
Correction - the only suspension mods was installed RR Racing Road & Track Version Ultimate Steering Response System (USRS). It’s just one tire that has this kind of damage. Tire place suggested to get alignment and have mechanic check for suspension related issue.

Another person I found with a similar issue linked above. @LeX2K 's suggestion is good though but no type of bad alignment can produce rubbing ripping off your tire lmao. I also noticed you have a Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+, how old is that tire and how many miles? I know those were discontinued about a year or two ago
I know of another user (on a different forum) that had Michelin tires that were throwing off chunks like that. He’s sworn to never buy Michelin tires again.
You’re a lot more worn on the outside edge than the center of the tread, how’s the inside edge of that tire look? If similar then this is a wear pattern looking like an under inflated tire. If the inside edge is fine then it looks like the toe alignment is pointing inwards (pigeon toed).
If this is your drivers side front tire it could be your driving pattern includes a lot of turning while braking.
My money’s on bad toe specs.

The only suspension upgrade was installing RR Racing Road & Track Version Ultimate Steering Response System (USRS) and an all wheel alignment was done after installing. I was told by Lexus that the alignment was made within specs. Can’t imagine that the USRS would cause tire to be shredded like this.
All tires have always been inflated to 33 psi. Damage only on outside edge and yes, center and inside edge is fine. Could pigeon toe be on only one side or something that occurs in pairs?
